10.01.08 mike terrana is the new endorser of ddrum !

(from the Ddrum website)

Ddrum is proud to announce the addition of legendary clinician and powerhouse drumming icon Mike Terrana to our Artist Collective.  Mike's massive grooves, double-bass agility, and visually stunning speed chops have earned him a place amongst the greats.  Known equally for his playing with Yngwie Malmsteen and Tony Macalpine, Steve Lukather (Toto), Doug Wimbish (Living Color), Jennifer Baten (Michael Jackson, Jeff Beck) as he is for his work with Euro-Rock Giants Masterplan and Tarja (X-singer of Nightwish).

Terrana's highly charged clinics and solo drumming performances have brought new meaning to the words EXTREME DRUMMING.  With two DVD releases ("Double Bass Mechanics" and "The Rhythm Beast",) and hundreds of recordings to his credit, Mike is poised to become a vital part of Ddrum's new Artist Collective Clinic Program, with an emphasis on inspiring drummers in Europe the continent he calls home.

Terrana on signing with ddrum:
"I met Elliot Rubinson president of Ddrum and Dean guitars while I was performing a solo drum performance at an Open-Air festival in Germany.  He approached me and asked if I knew or heard of Ddrum, I said yes…."I knew about the electronic drums and triggers."  Elliot went on to further explain that Ddrum was now making acoustic drums and they were also looking for artist to play and help develop their new range of drums and accessories.
A few weeks after our meeting a Ddrum kit test kit arrived and I played it for a few days in my practice room. I was pleased and surprised with the response warmth tone and resonance of the shells.  I especially enjoyed experimenting with the 20 *22 bass drum; very fat sounding, powerful and warm. At that I was hooked and I signed with Ddrum a few weeks later. I am happy to be on bored and to be included on their prestigious roster of other artists."

Mike will be giving a small preview of his future clinic program at Ddrum's booth (3282 in Hall D,) at the 2008 NAMM International Music Market with daily performances from Thursday, January 17 to Saturday, January 19.
